The Microverse Check-In Form can be a daunting task, as it includes several assessments of your skills and resources that will need to be measured to ensure the Program is a good fit for you.
There are two outcomes that can occur after your Check-In Form has been submitted:
✅ You'll join the queue to enter the Microverse Trials
This means that you have 12 hours available to dedicate to the Trials in the upcoming 7 days. The Trials is a great introduction to pair programming, and it'll let you experience some of the learning methodologies that we employ during the full-time Program, too.
⏸️ You'll be asked to submit more information via email
Each Check-In Form is manually reviewed by a team member at Microverse, and sometimes they have questions about your ability or availability to join the Program, due to a variety of reasons. If that is the case, your feedback will arrive via an email titled "Your Microverse Application." The email will list the reasons for your application being put on hold until we receive more information from you. This does not mean that you've been rejected.
The email we send you specifies exactly what needs to be done in order to move forward with your application, e.g. "Record an intro video" or "Re-run an internet speed test." It's expected that you send us any information via email or by starting a chat here on our website.
A ticket will be created when a team member receives your email with supplementary information. When the ticket is being worked on and later resolved, you will be notified of the outcome via email.
It is pertinent that you make an effort to read through all the information in the first email we send you, subject "Your Microverse Application," so that you submit the right information the first time. Being able to communicate effectively and professionally with the Microverse staff is a strong indicator of your professionalism and soft skills in a future workplace.
