During your application, you select to attend Microverse in either the UTC+1 or UTC-6 time zone. The program hours are always 8:00 am - 5:15 pm (Monday to Friday) in those time zones, but your daily schedule will differ based on your country's relation to that time zone. Search for your city on this map to see your time zone and its UTC offset.
What should you know?
What is the UTC offset in your country?
Does your country observe Daylight Savings Time (DST)?
This is when you move the clocks forward by 1 hour during summertime
How are you affected?
Below are a few examples of how your schedule will look depending on your location and selected time zone to attend the program. If your country observes DST, your schedule will change during the program.
Your location | Microverse schedule | DST observed? | UTC offset | Local schedule |
Kampala, Uganda | UTC+1 | β | UTC+3 | 10:00 am |
Asuncion, Paraguay | UTC-6 | β | π UTC-4 βοΈ UTC-3 | π 11:00 am βοΈ 10:00 am |
Budapest, Hungary | UTC+1 | β | π UTC+2 βοΈ UTC+1 | π 9:00am βοΈ 8:00 am |
Mumbai, India | UTC-6 | β | UTC+5:30 | 7:30 pm |
π = During Daylight Savings Time in summer
βοΈ = During Standard Time in winter
Why is this important?
Adhering to your schedule is critical to remaining in the program, seeing as our attendance policy is quite strict.
Does the program run in more time zones than these?
Currently, we only offer our program in these two time zones (UTC+1 and UTC-6) but we intend to develop a broader selection in the future.
