We believe in a safe and harassment-free Microverse for everyone. To report harassment of any kind, please fill out this form.

What counts as harassment?

Harassment often goes unreported because applicants are unsure whether what they experienced was harassment or something else. If you felt harassed, then it qualifies as harassment, and you should report it. You have the right to feel comfortable in your learning space, and no one should take that away from you.

Why should you report harassment?

Often, we try to convince ourselves that a situation "really wasn't that bad." We feel it's easier to attribute a given situation to bad humor or cultural differences. However, by brushing off these situations, we're not only doing a disservice to ourselves but also to the offender and the rest of the community. By reporting harassment, you are helping the offender become more self-aware and improve their global professionalism. You're also creating a better community for everyone else.

What is the process to report harassment?

The process starts with this form. Here, we'll ask a series of questions to understand the situation better. The form will give you the space to outline what happened and state the frequency and severity of the situation. Through it, you can also request to get removed from any current or future collaborative group with the person who harassed you. You'll also be able to choose whether you want the person to know that you reported it or if you wish to remain anonymous.

You can also choose to fill out the form anonymously. However, if you choose to do so, we cannot make changes in your current or future groupings. It will be easier for Microverse to reach out to the person who harassed you if we can give specific examples of what is wrong, but we fully support your decision and understand if you prefer to stay anonymous for this person.

What happens with the person who harassed you?

We will handle harassment reports on a case-by-case basis. However, at the very least, the person will receive a strike in their Microverse application. Usually, at two strikes, an applicant will be permanently banned from our admissions process. However, if the harassment was severe, we might ban them after strike one.

We will handle every case with care, respect, and the personalization it deserves.
